Yes Bank Q2 results: Standalone PAT jumps 18% YoY at Rs 654 crore, NII rises 4.5%

Private lender Yes Bank on Saturday released its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, wherein the bank reported an 18.3% YoY jump in its profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 654.47 crore, up from Rs 553.04 crore posted a year-ago period.

Meanwhile, the net interest income (NII) for the said quarter stood at Rs 2,300.88 crore, witnessing a growth of 4.5%. This is compared with the net interest income of Rs 2,200.44 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.

However, on a quarterly basis, the bank’s PAT saw a decline of 18.3%, falling from Rs 801.06 crore as on June 30, 2025.

Yes Bank’s total income also witnessed a marginal dip of 1.24% to Rs 9,023.15 crore, against Rs 9,137.09 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

On the asset quality front, the bank’s gross non-performing assets (GNPA) stood at Rs 4,055.31 crore, up from Rs 3,889.43 crore in the same quarter of FY25. However, the net non-performing assets (NNPAs) fell to Rs 770.84 crore, from Rs 1,168.02 crore in Q2FY25.


In percentage terms, the GNPA was steady at 1.6%, indicating effective credit monitoring and recovery efforts. The Net NPA (NNPA) also remained contained at 0.3%, compared with 0.5% in the previous comparable period.The Net Interest Margin (NIM) remained stable quarter-on-quarter at 2.5%, marking a 10 bps improvement year-on-year, supported by a 40 bps YoY and 20 bps QoQ decline in the cost of deposits, which stood at 5.7%.Return on Assets (RoA) stood at 0.6%, compared with 0.5% in Q2FY25 and 0.8% in Q1FY26.

Operating costs were nearly flat, rising just 0.6% YoY but declining 4.2% QoQ. The operating profit came in at Rs 1,296 crore, up 32.9% YoY, although down sequentially. Excluding treasury income, operating profit grew a robust 31.8% QoQ, driven by strong core income growth and cost efficiency.

On the balance sheet front, the bank’s total deposits stood at Rs 2,96,276 crore, up 6.9% YoY and 7.4% QoQ. CASA deposits rose 12.5% YoY, with the CASA ratio improving by 170 bps YoY and 90 bps QoQ to 33.7%. Retail and branch banking segments continued to drive deposit growth, rising 13.7% YoY, while retail CASA reached 39.6%.

The bank’s advances crossed the milestone of Rs 2.5 lakh crore, with net advances at Rs 2,50,212 crore, reflecting a 6.4% YoY and 3.8% QoQ increase, supported by a strong pickup in disbursements across key segments.
