Vallabh Maheshwari, managing director of the advertising agency Shakun Group, died in a road accident after his BMW car overturned on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway on Sunday. The 62-year-old businessman was travelling from Jaipur to Mathura on a religious trip when the car reportedly went out of control near milestone 136.8 in the Raini police station area around 4 pm. Police said the vehicle crashed through barricades, crossed the road divider and hit a culvert wall. Maheshwari was taken to hospital, but doctors later declared him dead, a TOI report stated.

Crash on expressway during religious trip

According to police officials, Maheshwari was on his way from Jaipur to Mathura when the accident took place. The BMW he was travelling in lost control near milestone 136.8 on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.

The car reportedly smashed through roadside barricades, crossed the median and finally collided with the wall of a culvert.
After the crash, Maheshwari and the driver were rushed to Pinan Hospital for treatment. Doctors there referred them to Harish Hospital in Alwar. However, Maheshwari could not survive the injuries and doctors declared him dead.

Gehlot calls the incident ‘extremely heartbreaking’

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the incident and shared a message on social media platform X.


Gehlot also described the news of Maheshwari’s death as “extremely heartbreaking” and prayed for strength for the bereaved family.

Who was Vallabh Maheshwari?

Vallabh Das Maheshwari was a Jaipur-based businessman with more than 32 years of experience in corporate governance and business management.He served as managing director of Shakun Group and held roles as a director or designated partner in several companies across sectors such as advertising, infrastructure, real estate and hospitality.

According to India Filings, Maheshwari was associated with 12 companies at the time of his death. These included SGM Buildcon Private Limited, Shakun Communication Infrastructure Private Limited, Shakun Advertising Private Limited, Manokamna Real Estate Private Limited and N.S. Publicity India Private Limited.

He was also connected with organisations such as Roop Shakun Foundation, Shakun Buildhome and Shakun Hotels and Resorts. In addition, he worked as a designated partner in Shakun Fort and Palace LLP and Shakun Realty LLP.

Maheshwari had earlier been associated with Sarvottam Buildhome. Over the years, his work focused on managing operations and expanding multiple business ventures across different sectors.
