A Tale of Two Suriya Avatars
The teaser begins with a mysterious voiceover, saying the deity being referred to is not one to be calmed but one to be worshipped with red chillies, a nod to the film’s fiery tone.
We are then introduced to Suriya in two completely different looks. One is a calm, sharp-looking lawyer named Saravanan, dressed in white, who says he also goes by another name. The second avatar, dressed in black and holding a curved weapon (possibly an aruval), is intense, violent, and ready for action.
Fans were quick to notice the clever callback to Ghajini, in one scene, Suriya as the lawyer seems to mimic his iconic pose from the song Oru Maalai. The teaser keeps things mysterious, leaving us to guess whether it’s one man living a double life or two different characters.
Fans React: “Hot, Spicy, and Out of the Fire!”
The response online has been explosive. Fans are loving Suriya’s return to an action-packed role. One called the teaser “raw and intense”, while another said, “RJB serves Karuppu teaser hot, spicy, and straight out of the fire.” The Ghajini reference, already popular in meme culture, added a fun nostalgic twist.
