Dr. V K Vijayan, the Guruvayur Devaswom Chairman, announced the warning in a video on the temple’s Facebook page. He stated that the temple has not authorized any private agency or WhatsApp group to arrange visits or collect payments.
The warning was issued after a devotee reported being cheated by a WhatsApp group.
“No agency has been authorised by the Guruvayur Devaswom to arrange darshan or to collect money for offerings,” Vijayan said.
He advised devotees to be cautious and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
Guruvayur Temple, a famous pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Krishna, attracts thousands of devotees daily.
