India-Russia technology hub announces its CEO ahead of AI Impact Summit
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chakraborty’s career is defined by transformative leadership. His professional journey includes pivotal roles as the Director of the Chamber for Indo Russo Technology Collaboration (CIRTC), Director at KPMG India and Partner & Business Head at Tech Mahindra Consulting, where he managed a P&L of $200 million and led large-scale digital initiatives across five continents.
“I am honored to lead the Indo Russia Technology Hub at such a pivotal moment for global technology,” said Mr. Chakraborty. “Our goal is clear: to build a resilient, shared technology ecosystem that enhances the sovereign capabilities of both nations. By bridging India’s startup vitality with Russia’s deep-tech expertise, we are creating a corridor for high-impact innovation that will resonate across the BRICS nations,” Chakraborty said.
In his new post as the Executive Director and CEO of the Indo Russia “Innopraktika” Technology Hub, Chakraborty aims to expand the Hub’s collaboration with premier Indian institutes like the IITs and the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), Indian government bodies like the NITI Aayog, and Russian organisations like TSEA and Russoft, reinforcing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat through strategic technology partnerships.
Recognized as a “Technology Brand Ambassador for India” at global forums like SPIEF, International Technology Congress, and CIPR, Chakraborty has mentored over 1,000 startups and facilitated the import of cutting-edge technologies crucial to India’s growth. His leadership promises to accelerate the Hub’s vision of a self-reliant and collaborative technological innovation.
