‘Ek bapu ne azadi dilaiyi, dusre ne trophy; Ek Bihari sab pe baari’: Watch Arshdeep’s fun reels after T20 World Cup win
‘Justice milgaya’: Arshdeep celebrates Sanju Samson’s moment
One of the first reels featured Sanju Samson, who delivered a match-defining performance in the final. Standing next to the wicketkeeper-batter, Arshdeep looked into the camera and said, “Paaji, justice milgaya.”
The line was a nod to the long-running chatter on social media about Samson waiting years for consistent chances in the Indian team.
Samson started the tournament on the bench but found his place in the playing XI after India decided to split their left-heavy top order. Once in, he turned the tournament into his own stage.
In the final against New Zealand, Samson smashed 89 off 46 balls, his third successive score above 80 in the tournament. He had earlier hammered 97 not out while chasing 196 against the West Indies and followed it up with an explosive 89 off 42 balls against England when India posted 255 in the semifinal.
With 321 runs in five matches, Samson finished as the Player of the Tournament.
‘Ek bapu ne azadi dilaiyi, dusre ne trophy’
Another reel showed Arshdeep chatting with Axar Patel during the celebrations. In the short clip, he joked, “ek bapu ne azadi dilaiyi dusre ne trophy.”
The playful remark added to the light-hearted mood in the Indian camp after the historic win.
Arshdeep gets Gautam Gambhir to smile
Arshdeep’s reels also pulled in India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir. Known for his serious on-field personality, Gambhir rarely appears in playful social media moments.
But in Arshdeep’s reel, the former opener briefly dropped his guarded look and flashed a smile for the camera, drawing cheers from players around him.
‘Ek Bihari sab pe baari’
Another clip featured Ishan Kishan, who also played a key role in India’s campaign.
The duo recreated a viral line together, saying, “Paaji, Ek Bihari. Sab pe baari.”
Kishan had entered the squad late after strong domestic performances and made a solid impact during the tournament, scoring 317 runs in nine matches and adding attacking intent to the top order.
Reel with ‘Jassi bhai’ after match-winning spell
Arshdeep also filmed a reel with Jasprit Bumrah, who delivered a standout performance in the final and was named Player of the Match. Mohammed Siraj joined the frame as the fast-bowling trio celebrated the win.
Arshdeep signs off with a champion’s line
Arshdeep saved the final reel for himself. In it, he reflected on India becoming the first defending champions to retain the T20 World Cup title.
The left-arm pacer has played an important role in both title runs. In the previous edition, he finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in eight matches. This time, he added nine wickets in eight matches to India’s campaign.
Summing up the moment in his signature style, Arshdeep said, “First time it was so nice, we had to do it twice.”
For fans celebrating India’s title win, the reels offered a glimpse into the dressing-room joy, where humour, friendship and a few viral catchphrases marked the end of a memorable night in Ahmedabad.
