Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban separate after nearly two decades of marriage; where are they now? Here’s what we know so far

Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban have separated after 19 years of marriage. The couple has been married and living apart “since the beginning of summer,” multiple sources told TMZ. There is no update on whether the couple will divorce.

Nicole has been taking care of their two children and “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.” The sources further told TMZ that the separation is one-sided, and Nicole did not want it, and she has been trying to save the marriage.

“Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home,” which is also in Nashville, a source told TMZ. Keith and Nicole married in 2006. Their kids are 14 and 17. Kidman, 58, was previously married to Tom Cruise.
“Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock, and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” a source told PEOPLE.

On the work front, Kidman recently wrapped filming Practical Magic 2 in London, according to PEOPLE. She shared an Instagram post on August 19, 2025. In the post she gave glimpses of her “summer memories” spending time with her daughters and extended family. On the other hand, Urban has been on tour, with his next stop scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2025, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Speaking to PEOPLE in April 2024, Kidman revealed about her “lovely” family support system, saying at the time, “I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love. That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to.”
