Ajit Pawar’s net worth was disclosed when he filed an affidavit during the 2024 Vidhan Sabha elections and it revealed that the NCP Chief had a total net worth of around Rs 124 crore, reports Jansatta. While contesting assembly polls from Baramati in 2024, Pawar declared that he had movable assets worth more than Rs 8.22 crore, while his immovable assets were valued at Rs 37.15 crore, according to an affidavit submitted by him before the Election Commission.

The moveable assets of Ajit Pawar include two cars – Toyota Camry, Honda CRV — a tractor, silver articles, FDs, shares and bonds, among others, as per the affidavit submitted by him along with nomination papers from the seat in Pune district for the November 20 polls. His spouse Sunetra Pawar, a Rajya Sabha member, owns movable assets worth Rs 14.57 crore, while the value of immovable assets in her name stood at Rs 58.39 crore, according to the document.
According to a report in Jansatta, at the time of filing the affidavit, Pawar had a total cash of Rs 14.12 lakh and his various bank accounts had Rs 6.81 crores deposited in them. He had also invested more than Rs 55 lakhs in various bonds, debentures and in shares of other companies. The report also mentioned that Pawar had an LIC policy of worth more than Rs 1 crore and his wife Sunetra Pawar had more LIC policy of more than Rs 44 lakh.

Ajit Pawar’s journey began in 1982 when he was elected to the board of a sugar cooperative. Over the years, he carved a niche for himself in Maharashtra’s political and cooperative landscape, holding portfolios such as irrigation, finance, and water resources. He became an MLA in 1991 and has represented Baramati ever since.
In 2019, Ajit Pawar briefly broke away from the NCP, forming a government with BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. The government collapsed within three days, yet Ajit Pawar emerged stronger, later serving as Deputy CM in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and subsequently joining the Shinde-BJP alliance in 2023. He is survived by his wife Sunetra Pawar and his two sons- Parth Pawar and Jay Pawar.
